GEM Energy - Solar Energy Systems Queensland

Shalom College Bundaberg

810kW PV and 1160kWh of Tesla Battery

Australia’s largest solar and battery system on a school! 🏫

We are proud to share the single-axis tracking ground-mount PV and battery system at Shalom College as part of our partnership with Catholic Education Diocese of Rockhampton.

With 810kW of solar and 1160kWh of Tesla battery storage, the school is showcasing leadership in the community by embracing renewable energy technology. Their energy needs are the size of a small suburb and the system is covering approximately 97% of their load.

The payback on this system was significantly reduced by enrolling the Tesla Powerpacks in the FCAS market, thus generating revenue by supporting the grid in times of need.
